About Laudium Cricket Club

Laudium Cricket Club is an association in the Pretoria Suburbs. We cater for cricket in all communities and ethnicity for junior and senior levels of cricket. We are affiliated to NORTHERN CRICKET UNION to serve and provide opportunities to all that are interested in playing the game of cricket.

We currently have four junior teams participating in the Northern’s Cricket League, the under 09, 11 ,13 & 15. We are a non-profitable organization aimed to encourage, organize and promote development of high performance and game of cricket for all. Our History

Although Laudium Cricket Club was apparently formed in 1998 through our inception into Northern Transvaal Cricket Union, Laudium Cricket can safely say there beginnings started in 1992 as per the article in the link.

Our Vision

To become a self-sustaining cricket club without relying on hand-outs, to progress beyond a development club towards being a world class cricket club and to produce Amateur, Titan and Protea quality, cricketers. To be the best area club in the Province, to bring the youth of the Laudium community together and let them develop their sporting talent and become responsible Adults.” To be a self-sufficient and self-sustaining cricket club which boasts a high quality indoor performance centre/academy, flood lights and gym.

Our Mission

Youth talent development

  • Developing youngsters from grass roots levels and nurturing them towards senior most levels of cricket.

Community development

  • Making the L.C.C. the central hub of the community. A safe haven in a crime riddled society.

Changes to be Implemented 2018/2019

  • Create 2 teams for under 9 and 11
  • 1st team to play premier league
  • Workshops for all juniors
  • Selling of ads and getting sponsors – sponsors will be given flexible once-off/monthly/yearly renewable contracts
  • Getting club champs and international matches to be played at the LCC (benefit to sponsors)
  • Fundraising – With the construction of the lights we will have fundraisers (benefit to sponsors)
  • Sunday League (benefit to sponsors)

Current Club Offerings

  • Group Coaching (No Cost)
    • This happens on a weekly basis from 15:30 pm to 18:00 pm for junior teams
    • This happens on a weekly basis (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 16:00 pm to 18:00 pm for senior teams
    • Pre-season Group Coaching (July to September)
  • 1 on 1 Coaching
    • This function is available and costs are determined between parents/players and coaches but LCC can facilitate/negotiate
  • Cricket Nets
    • Available to paid club members

Our Objectives for 2019/2020

  • Creating an Infrastructure to provide Night Cricket to the Laudium Community on Field A and B by the end of 2020.
  • To develop an Indoor Cricket Facility by the end of 2020.
  • To Develop atleast 9 Junior Players to represent Laudium Cricket Club in the Provincial Northern’s League by end of 2020.
  • To Develop atleast 2 Senior Players to represent Laudium Cricket Club in the Provincial Northern’s League by end of 2020.
  • By the end of 2020 a Financial Income of atleast 1 Million Rand.
  • Development of the Facility to an International Level, where International matches can be hosted.
  • Create Transparency throughout the Club Members and Players, through regular Communication of the Progress of the Committee.
  • To achieve an 80% Satisfaction rating from all sponsorship’s and donations.
  • Create sustainability where continuous income can improve the current and future structure of Laudium Cricket Club.
  • Satisfy Parents of Junior cricket by 75%, by providing quality cricket coaching, tournaments and tours.
  • To assist Schools and School Leagues in Mini Cricket within the Laudium Vicinity.
  • Senior Cricket to finish at least top 8 in the Premier League end of 2020 Season.
  • All Senior and Junior Teams to have a Uniform Playing Kit on Condition Players and Members pay Subs.
